Untitled VII.

I missed the blossoms—
I wanted to frame them,
And steal them perhaps,
But they are gone,
Laid upon rainy concrete
And car bonnets,
Like spilled confetti,

So instead I drank
Two small tumblers of wine
And planted two bulbs—
Their roots, keen and pink
Now sunk and buried

And done.
